How far along? 18 weeks
Baby’s size: about the size of a sweet potato and about 5 1/2 inches.
Total weight gain: I don’t want to say. It can’t be right! (8 pounds)
Clothes: Shirt from A Pea in the Pod. Leggings are basic leggings from Target (non-maternity). Boots are Cole Haan from a few years ago. I always get compliments when I wear them! Would you believe that I bought them in NYC when there was 2 feet of snow on the ground and they were on clearance for around $100…down from $300 something. Chevron necklace is from Hannah Naomi.
Feeling: Hungry. On Saturday my stomach growled all day. Like 45 minutes after I ate lunch I was hungry again.
Workouts: Can’t believe I forgot to mention this on my previous 2 pregnancy posts! I’ve consistently worked out 3 days per week during my pregnancy so far. Before I got found out I was pregnant my workouts were 4 days a week…I basically cut out Sunday morning because I like curling up with my breakfast in front of the TV more. I usually do 2 spin classes and a prenatal yoga class. In the past 2 weeks I’ve only gone to 1 spin class and I went to a Barre class instead. Talk about sore! It’s no fun to be pregnant and sore but I guess it’s good pain. Anyway…I’ll start sharing my workouts from week to week. Last week (Feb. 17-23) I worked out 5 times: 40 minutes/3.6 miles on the elliptical, 1 hour spin class, 1 hour prenatal yoga class, 30 minutes/2.5 miles on the elliptical and another 1 hour spin class.
Funny: I cut the padding out of one of my bras so I could wear it. I obviously need to go shopping! I don’t know what size to order so I need to go into a physical store. I tried to shop at Target hoping to find some inexpensive options but they were all ugly and cheap feeling. There was one bra in the whole store I kind of liked and they didn’t have a size that fit me.
Cravings: Coconut anything. Granola. Avocados. Chocolate…Kind bars sometimes do the trick…other times part of a dark chocolate bar with almonds must happen.
Drinking: Vita Coco pure coconut water with pineapple. I bought 9 of them because Whole Foods had them on closeout at 3 for 1.37! Deal! Zevia Ginger Ale. I quite drinking soda about 2 years ago but had a craving…at least it’s naturally flavored. Decaf coffee in the morning. Water by the gallons.
Looking forward to: Getting to the halfway mark. Only 2 more weeks!
